Making It On My Own The author wants her mom to act like a mom should: to notice her and ask questions about the “simple stuff” like “How are you?” and, “Where have you been?”
• Do you think she will ever get that from her mom? Or is it a false hope? What advice would you give her? • Can she protect herself and maintain a relationship with her mom? What would she gain from cutting off the relationship? What would she lose?
