April, New Youth Connections (our teen magazine) will celebrate its 200th
issue by inviting readers to rename our magazine. Why
a new name? When New Youth Connections was first published in 1980, it
was written by and for New York City teens to address the issues affecting young
people in the city. (New Youth Connections = NYC). Back then, almost all
of our readers lived in New York City. Over
the years, New Youth Connections has grown to reach readers all over the
country and around the world, through our printed magazine and especially on the
Web. Wed like a new name that appeals to readers no matter where they live. Got
an idea for a new name? Fill out the form below and submit it by May 4th. Remember,
the new name should reflect that we are a magazine written by and for teens! | | Rules Entries
will be judged by a panel of teen writers and adult staff at New Youth Connections.
The best entry will win $150. There is no limit to the number of entries one person
can submit. If two or more people submit the same name, the entry we received
first will be judged. This contest is open to teens and adults. All entries become
property of Youth Communication. Please note that the winner will receive a prize
of $150 but is not guaranteed that his/her idea will be used as the new name for
New Youth Connections (for trademark or other reasons). We will announce our new
name in the Sept/Oct 2007 issue. | |
